Well, for some reason this Thursday, even though it’s Thankful Thursday, to be honest, I’m not “feeling” very thankful. I’m fighting a bug which has been dragging me down all week, which makes me feel a little like going back to bed. And I also have reason to believe that I’m in a spiritual battle. When I don’t “feel” very thankful in my emotions, I have to go past my emotions to my spirit which is led by the truth of Scripture, and with my will I obey!
I’ve had some opportunities this week to speak Truth where lies or error were being spoken, and share Scripture boldly. God also showed me some areas which I needed to surrender to Him. God spoke to my heart, encouraging me to have more faith, through the verses I read in Matthew 21:21-22, as I’m back on track with reading through the Bible this year. Certain circumstances which took place this week lead me to believe that God is beginning to send the answer to a long-time prayer of my heart.
I give my heartful thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for all His wondrous works! I praise Him and thank Him for His unspeakable gift of salvation, for the Holy Spirit at work in me: rebuking, reproving, convicting, speaking truth out to the world through my mouth and keyboard, changing me and causing me to find the joy of surrender in everything. I give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning me.
Thankful Thursday is hosted by Lori this month at Women Taking a Stand. Please go over to participate and read other thankful posts!
