Blogging Friends and New Finds

One of the great blessings of blogging has been meeting people who I would call kindred spirits and who have become dear friends, though we have never met! Berean Wife, who lives in Alabama, is one of them.  Through her site I came across some gems to share. Cliff Cook, one of the pastors of the new church Berean Wife’s family and others have planted, shared “Signs of Living To Please God”
which you’ll find to be meaty and challenging, and very applicable. One example is:

3.  You will look to your hearts, and not only to your actions; to your ends, and thoughts, and the inward manner and degree.
This reminded me of Psalm 19:12-14:
“Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”

  1. Dorothy,
What a great idea! I have loved these verses for many years. You encouraged me to pray them this morning, as well!

  2. Such encouraging thoughts. Thanks for sharing. The verses from Psalm 19 are among my favourites. They are my morning prayer most days.
