Food Friday: Easy, Easy, Easy! Pie in a Jar alternative, Christmas Freebies, and Recipe for Super Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

I want to tell you about two Free things today, one related to food and one related to gift-giving and both related to Christmas, plus give you the simplest Peanut Butter Recipe you’ll ever see!

First, my friend Phyllis Sather has written an e-book called “Purposeful Planning,” which as we approach the end of the year and think of making goals for next year, would be a great book for you and your family!  This e-book is always free to military families. Phyllis also has other Christmas freebies I highly recommend! Today I downloaded her free “Memories Made Easy” which has “easy to make ornaments and gifts that your family members will enjoy receiving from your children”!  They’re really quite classy and something they’ll want to hang on their tree–and super simple, I could even make them! Plus, you can still get them done before Christmas. Check it out!

She also has posted a link on her blog this week to a darling alternative to the Pie in a Jar idea that I posted about last week!  Cake in a Jar!

Aren’t these super cute?!  I love the sprinkles and ribbon decorations.
How easy and inexpensive!

Here’s a Super Easy Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe (do you see my theme yet? How many times can you say Easy?) that you can use for those delicious Peanut Butter Chocolate Kiss Cookies that are so popular this time of year:
Only 3 ingredients (no mistake, there’s no flour!):

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of peanut butter
1 egg
Mix all together, roll in the palm of your hand into 1″ or so balls, flatten with the bottom of a small glass dipped in sugar, and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees F.  Unwrap the chocolate kisses while baking, remove cookies from the sheet and place a kiss in the center, gently pressing, while the cookies are still slightly warm, (but not so hot that the kisses melt)!
Start to finish, you can make these in 30 minutes!! And your kids can easily help you–a new Christmas tradition in the making.
Enjoy!
